FPCAJohnKilllough
FPCAs John Killough goes up against three Crusaders in a regular-season game against Robert Toombs Christian Academy earlier this season. Tonight the Highlanders and Crusaders are scheduled to battle for the Region 2-AA title.

The First Presbyterian Christian Academy boys’ basketball team is set to play Robert Toombs Christian Academy tonight in Lyons for the Georgia Independent School Association Region 2-AA title.

FPCA easily beat Twiggs Academy, 84-52, in a semifinal Thursday in Lyons.

The Highlanders beat Toombs twice during the regular season. In January, FPCA won, 87-74, on Jan. 20 at home and 94-75 on Feb. 6 in Lyons.

Robert Toombs beat Memorial Day to make it to Friday’s championship game. Memorial Day is one of just three teams that had taken down the FPCA boys earlier this year.

FPCA went into the region final with a 16-3 overall mark and 9-1 region record.

The Courier will post results of tonight’s game as soon as they become available.
