First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s boys’ basketball team will play Furtah Prep in the Georgia Independent School Association Class AA state quarterfinals at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at David Emanuel Academy in Stillmore.

The Highlanders advanced in the tourney after beating Crisp Academy, 82-41, Thursday in Stillmore. FPCA’s Michael Burnett scored a game-high 29 points. Teammate Richard Smith chipped in 16 points, while Densear Carnes added 14 points.

Highlanders coach Shane Smith said the quarterfinal game is a rematch of last year’s state title game, which FPCA lost, 60-57.
