First Presbyterian Christian Academy boys’ basketball team beat Robert Toombs Christian Academy 73-58 Friday in Lyons to capture the region 2-AA title of the Georgia Independent School Association classification.

Highlanders Richard Smith, Michael Burnett, Frederick Heaggans and Densear Carnes were named to the All-Region Team. Highlander head coach Shane Smith was named Region Coach of the Year.

The road to the final game was paved Thursday when the FPCA boys easily beat Twiggs Academy 84-52 in the semi-final game.
