First Presbyterian Christian Academy’s baseball team was eliminated from the state baseball playoffs Friday with two second-round losses at Flint River Academy in Woodbury.
The Highlanders fell 4-0 in the first game of the best-of-three series. In the second game, FPCA started strong, taking a one-run lead, but the Wildcats rebounded to claim a 12-2 win.
A bright spot for FPCA is that the team had no seniors this season, playing five juniors, six sophomores, a freshman and two eighth-graders.
Among all the Highlanders expected back next season is Jared Wells, the Region 2-AA Pitcher of the Year.
