First Presbyterian Christian Academy Highlander boys basketball team remains the lone undefeated team in Liberty County.

After taking an 81-65 victory in Macon Tuesday against First Presbyterian Day, the boys improved to 11-0 and are 3-0 in region 2-A.

The victory is the Highlanders’ 15th-straight win since they started scrimmages and the regular season.

Four Highlander boys scored in the double digits; Joey Bell leading with 21 points, Terrence "TA" Alston and AJ Ansley, both sank 19 points, and Mike Brown added 13. Alston, Bell and Brown also lead in the trey shots.

First Presbyterian Day was paced by Zack Jones, who scored 23. Assisting in the double digits were Taylor Harden, who chipped in 17, and Walker Middlebrooks, 10.

Walker Tuten, Brian Bowker and Middlebrooks hit the three-pointers for Day.

First Presbyterian Day is 1-10 overall.

That afternoon the Highlander girls lost 57-20 to Day’s girls team who are the defending AAA state champs. The girl Highlanders are 1-5 and 1-1 in the region.
