The First Preparatory Christian Academy Highlanders will defend their GIAA Class A boys basketball title Friday in Columbus.

The Highlanders (21-3) beat Robert Toombs Christian Academy 58-52 Wednesday at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, and will meet Citizens Christian Academy for the state title. CCA pounded LaGrange Academy 83-56.

Tip-off time between the Highlanders and the Patriots (19-10) is 4:40 p.m. at Columbus State University’s Lumpkin Center.

FPCA won the first two matchups with their region rival, beating the Patriots 62-59 in Douglas and taking a 73-61 decision at home.
