After nearly a month, the Bradwell Tigers will be back on the football field – and perhaps for the first time in school history, on a Tuesday night.
Bradwell Institute will have 25 days between games as the Tigers host Greenbrier on October 15.
The Tigers last played September 20, falling 41-36 after a late rally came up short against Statesboro.
The Wolfpack ended a 21-game losing streak in last season’s finale, a last-second 32-29 win over the Tigers at Olvey Field/Hokey Jackson Stadium.
Greenbrier is 2-2 this season, with one of the losses a narrow 21-14 setback against region-leading Brunswick. The Wolfpack, 1-1 in Region 1-AAAAA, play neighborhood rival Lakeside-Evans on Friday before making the quick turnaround to face the Tigers, who are 1-4 on the season and 0-3 in the region.
The storm scrambled schedules across Georgia and prompted the Georgia High School Association to add an extra week to the regular season to accommodate the changes. There was an open week built into the playoff calendar.
The Tigers originally scheduled Greenbrier for homecoming but that is being moved to October 18 against South Effingham.
Bradwell’s game with Brunswick has been postponed until November 8 and the road games at Lakeside-Evans (October 25) and Evans (November 1) are unchanged.
