GHSA releases 2020 football schedules

The Georgia High School Association recently released its 2020 football schedules. 

Bradwell Institute will play in Region 2-AAAAAA with Brunswick, Effingham County, Glynn Academy, Richmond Hill and South Effingham. 

The Tigers open the season Aug. 21 at Johnson, then play Aug. 28 vs. Liberty County. BI plays host to New Hampstead on Sept. 4, travels to West Laurens on Sept. 11 and after a bye week will take on Richmond Hill at home on Sept. 25.

Bradwell is at Glynn Academy on Oct. 2, at Statesboro on Oct. 16 and at Effingham County Oct. 23 before ending the month with an Oct. 30 home date against Brunswick.

The Tigers finish the regular season Nov. 6 v s. South Effingham.


Liberty County 

The Panthers are now realigned into Region 3-AAA, which includes Beach, Groves, Johnson, Savannah, Southeast Bulloch and Windsor Forest.

The Panthers open the 2020 football season against Pierce County on Aug. 21, then play at BI on Aug. 28, at Effingham on Sept. 4 and at Claxton on Sept. 11. 

Liberty plays host to the Atomsmashers on Sept. 25, travels to Brooklet to take on Southeast Bulloch on Oct. 2 and then plays host to Windsor Forest on Oct. 9.

The Panthers are at Savannah on Oct. 16, play host to Groves Oct. 23 and then face Beach in Garden City on Oct. 30.


Long County

Long County will play in 1-AAA, along with Appling County, Brantley County, Pierce County and Tattnall County.

The Blue Tide open the season Aug. 21 against Berrien at home, travel to Bacon County on Aug. 28; play host Sept. 4 to Charlton County and are at Butler on Sept. 11.

Long County hosts Jeff Davis on Sept. 18, takes on Fredrica Academy on Sept. 25 and then is at Appling County on Oct. 9. 

The Blue Tide host Brantley County Oct. 16, are at Pierce County Oct. 23 and finish the regular season Nov. 6 vs. Tattnall County.
