Vanessa Kuhns and Jodie Clackler coach the Leaps and Bounds Gymnastics Team at their facility, Leaps and Bounds Gymnastics Center, in Jesup. The team currently consists of seven gymnasts competing at varying levels. JESUP — Members of the Leaps and Bounds Gymnastics team traveled to Orlando on Jan. 23-24, to compete in the Sand Dollar Invitational international competition and came home winners.

Three of the team members, Tiarra Rogers, of Hinesville, Jaci Tompkins, of Ludowici, and Meagan Walsh, of Fort Stewart, competed against gymnasts from all over the United States, Canada and countries as far away as Puerto Rico, China, and Japan. Against this intense competition they emerged victorious with Jaci Tompkins, level 6, capturing first place in her age division on vault, beam and all-around and second place on floor. Meagan Walsh, level 4, placed first on floor and vault and fifth all-around in her age division. Tiarra Rogers, level 6, placed fifth on bars and floor and sixth on vault and all-around.
