Heisman winner a hit at tourney
LCHS golfers with Rogers
The Liberty High School golf team of Logan Shuman, coach Trey Ellis, Antonio Jones and Anesia Sims with Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers and his trophy.
The team of Ennis Hager, Darren Duncan, Lance Hendrix and Wes Fennel took first place in the Bradwell Institute Alumni Class of 1978 Charity Golf Tournament June 2 at Savannah Harbor Golf Club.

Second place went to Greg Hewitt, Ben Floyd, Zach Dasher and Brad Harris. Candler Boyd, Jeff Ogden, Clifford Johnson and Hall Johnson finished in third.

Liberty County High School golf coach Trey Ellis won closest to the pin and longest drive, and  Brianna Copes was the Junior LPGA winner.
The event, held in memory of the late Spencer Clark, a former Bradwell and South Carolina football standout, included Clark’s teammate, 1980 Heisman  Trophy winner George Rogers. It raised money for the golf program at both Bradwell and Liberty County High School, according to organizers.
