Friends Helping Friends is sponsoring a student Hoopapalooza Friday at the Bradwell Institute gym.
Organizer Charles Moon said Friends Helping Friends is a group of general education students he started three years ago to support special needs students at Bradwell and Liberty County High School.

“FHF has been honored on the statehouse floor and covered in local media outlets like Coastal Courier, WTOC and WJCL for almost three years now,” Moon said. “We’ve now raised over $25,000. I’m so proud of the work these students have done to make sure our special needs students have the time of their lives in high school and beyond.”

Moon added that the group motto is, “Changing lives ... one friend at a time.”
The Hoopapalooza will be during fourth period lunch. Tickets are $4 and are available during the lunch period. Students will compete in a three-point shooting contest and a dunking contest.

Chick-fil-A will be selling lunches that day and will also be awarding out prizes to the winners.
