Hurricanes host last game of season Saturday

The Hinesville Hurricanes football team will close out the regular season with a home game Saturday at Long Bell Stadium.

The Hurricanes will host the Jacksonville Blackhawks to determine which team advances to the championship.
According to Hurricane coach James Sharp, the Hinesville team has already clinched the division title with an 8-1 record.

The two teams are 1-1 against each other. The ’Canes won the first game 8-0. In the second matchup, the Blackhawks won 18-12.
The Hurricanes won the championship for their division in 2010.

“We know what it is going to take to win Saturday,” coach Michael “Ice” Jones said. “As long as we do what we need to do, we will come out with a victory.”

The game is set to start at 3 p.m. Admission is $5 adults, children 12 and younger are free. Concessions will be available for sale. For more information, call 912-269-0830 or 912-977-4375.
