Former Bradwell Institute and Georgia State football player Ulrick John listed as third string at left tackle in the recently released first draft of the Indianapolis Colts’ depth chart, according to a news release on the team’s website.
The draft was released ahead of the Colts preseason opener Thursday at the New York Jets.
Colts coach Chuck Pagano called the chart a work in progress.
On Tuesday, many Colts rookies sported hats after some “team-bonding” time Monday night that included haircuts done by the veteran players. John, who was taken in the seventh round of May’s NFL Draft, had lines shaved into his hair, according to pictures posted Tuesday on Facebook.
The Colts held their final walk-through of the week Tuesday morning and were preparing to make the trip to New York today (Wednesday).
The preseason game starts at 7 p.m. at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The game was not scheduled to be broadcast nationally as of Tuesday afternoon.
Following the game, the Colts will return to Anderson (Indiana) University to continue their 2014 training camp. Practices resume Saturday.
