Lady Panthers start state playoffs

The Lady Panthers start their state playoff quest Wednesday at Pike County.

The Liberty County softball team starts state-playoff play Wednesday in Zebulon. The Lady Panther play Pike County in a best-of-three, with the first game is at 5 p.m. Liberty is 15-14 overall and 5-5 in Region 3-AAAA, while Pike is 18-12 overall and 8-5 in Region 4-AAAA.
