Lady Tigers fall at SVA

Bradwell Institute pitcher Mackenzie Stewart struck out six batters and gave up only one hit Wednesday, but the Lady Tigers still fell to St. Vincent’s Academy, 3-1, in Savannah in a non-region game.
The game was tied, 1-1, until the bottom of the fifth inning, when the Lady Saints scored two runs off two singles.
Bradwell’s Shania Eldridge scored the Lady Tigers’ run off an RBI groundout by Melissa Gregory.
The Lady Tigers were 3-16 overall and 0-5 in Region 3-AAAAA going into Thursday’s action.
Bradwell’s region game scheduled for Tuesday at Richmond Hill got rained out. It has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. Sept. 29.
The Lady Tigers were scheduled to host South Effingham on Thursday and will play Long County at
5 p.m. Monday in Ludowici.
