Lady Tigers hit Jenkins with 3-point barrage

The Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers countered Jenkins’ 3-point assault with a barrage of their own, storming to a 71-38 win Tuesday night in Region 1-AAAAA basketball.

With the win, the Lady Tigers improved to 20-2 on the year and 7-1 in the region.

Parris Parham connected on five 3-point tries, finishing with a game-high 28 points. Janiyah Blevins hit two 3s on her way to 10 points, and Jamia Ousley hit two 3s on her way to eight points.

Jordyn Rogers added nine points in the win while Alysia Estrada and Kaydence Kern added four points each. Nine Lady Tigers scored in the rout.

Almost half of the Lady Warriors’ points came on 3s, as they connected on six of those shots. Kaiya Bryant hit three 3s to account for all nine of her points.

The No. 6-ranked Lady Tigers took over with a big third quarter and posted a 54-27 rout of Greenbrier on Friday.

Bradwell outscored the Lady Wolfpack 24-5 in the third quarter to snap a 16-16 halftime tie.

Jordyn Rogers led the way with 24 points and nine rebounds. Parris Parham added a double-double, with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Alysia Estrada added six points, and Jamia Ousley recorded five points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.

Another big third quarter helped Bradwell put away Tattnall County on Saturday in a 68-37 romp.

Parham poured in 27 points, while Rogers scored 11 points. Ousley and Janiyah Blevins added eight points each, and Estrada and Destiny Gethers scored six points each.

The Lady Tigers outscored the Lady Warriors 22-7 in the third to take control of the game.

Bradwell closes out the regular season February 3 against Statesboro and February 6 against Jenkins.
