A balanced attack – and a suffocating defensive performance – have put the Bradwell Lady Tigers at 9-0.
Bradwell downed Lowndes 61-48 on Saturday, two days after routing Calvary Day 52-4.
Destini McLemore led the way against the Vikettes with 16 points, adding seven rebounds. Ja’Nya Bush added 13 points and seven steals, Jamia Ousley had 12 points and four assists and Janiyah Blevins recorded 11 points and six assists.
Zylah Cherry led Lowndes with 11 points, and Bryana Thomas had 10 points. Laila Foster had seven points and 13 rebounds.
The Lady Tigers held the Lady Cavaliers to just two points – a single free throw each in the second and fourth quarters – over the last three periods.
Nine Lady Tigers scored, with Blevins scoring a game-high 13 points and McLemore adding 12 points. McLemore finished with a double-double, pulling down 10 rebounds.
Ousley and Heather Garrett each had six points, Saniya Garner had five points and Eleycia Brooks had four points.
The Lady Tigers, ranked No. 8 in the state by ScoreAtlanta, visit Jenkins on Friday and host Veterans on Saturday.
