Lady Tigers rout Statesboro to go to 3-0 in region

The Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers rolled to another win Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigers posted a 66-34 blowout of Statesboro on the road, going to 17-2 on the year and 3-0 in Region 1-AAAAA.

Destini McLemore had a game-high 17 points for the Lady Tigers. Gerziya Haggray had 11 points to lead the Lady Blue Devils, who fell to 8-9 for the year and 2-1 in the region.

The Lady Tigers went to 16-2 overall and 2-0 in the region with a 61-44 romp over Brunswick on Saturday. Bradwell jumped out to a 35-13 lead at halftime.

Bradwell’s senior trio of Parris Parham, Ty’Tyana Anderson and Jordyn Rogers each scored 12 points. Parham also registered 12 rebounds and seven assists and Rogers pulled down eight boards.

Ja’Nya Bush had nine points and seven rebounds, and Kaydence Kern chipped in seven points.

Reagan Hicks had 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Pirates, who slipped to 12-4 overall and 1-1 in the region.

Bradwell goes back on the road for a January 17 region game at South Effingham and faces Glynn Academy at home on January 21.
