Ja’Nya Bush and Bailey Gilmore each posted double-doubles, and the Bradwell Lady Tigers coasted to a 61-31 win over Claxton in their finale of the Big Blue Classic on Thursday night.

Gilmore had 13 points and 15 rebounds, while Bush had 10 points and 10 rebounds, along with seven steals. Taniyah Bowman added 10 points and seven steals for the Lady Tigers (10-2).

Ta’tayna Anderson and Alysia Estrada each chipped in seven points in the win.

Earl Murray had 21 points to lead Camden County to a 55-46 win over the Bradwell boys in the Big Blue Classic final game for each team.

The Wildcats held the Tigers to 27% shooting from the floor.

Tahshaun Frazier paced BI with 13 points. Tyon Jones scored nine and Jamal Jackson added eight points.

The Griffin Lady Bears overcame a halftime deficit to hand the Lady Tigers just their second loss of the season, a 4944 setback Wednesday at the Big Blue Classic held at Liberty County High School.

Bowman led Bradwell with 13 points, while Gilmore and Parris Parham each had 11 points. Parham, who recorded 11 rebounds, finished with a double-double, while Bush also pulled down 11 rebounds.

Griffin, the No. 1-ranked girls team in Class AAAA, improved to 11-1 with the win.

Griffin’s boys upended Bradwell 54-48 in the nightcap.

Frazier led BI with 15 points, and Christopher Perry chipped in 11 points. But the Tigers shot just 29% (16-of-55) from the field.

Frazier also had five steals and four blocks.

The Bradwell boys host Wade Hampton (S.C.) on January 6, and both teams meet in-county rival Liberty County on January 7 at LCHS.
