With so many of our local athletes playing in the National Football League, it’s time to look up their jersey numbers, buy one, and support them on the grid-iron this season.

Former Liberty County High School and University of Georgia football player Richard LeCounte will wear the number 39 on his Cleveland Browns uniform. LeCounte was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round and 169th pick overall.

Former Long County and University of Kentucky football player Jamin Davis will wear number 52 with the Washington football team. According to 247 sports, Davis, the No. 19 overall pick of the first round, signed a contract worth $13.8 million over four years. 

LeCounte’s former teammate and former Ohio State Buckeye football player Raekwon McMillan will be sporting the number 46 with the New England Patriots. McMillan was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the 2017 NFL draft. Last season he was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders. He was picked up by New England in March 2021.
