Liberty boys, girls pick up region wins

The Liberty County Panthers picked up a pair of important Region 3-AAA wins last weekend, downing Johnson 53-45 and topping Calvary Day School 42-40.

The Panthers are now 3-3 overall an 2-1 in Region 3-AAA. They will play Keenan (S.C.) on Friday at 8:30 p.m. at Savannah High in the Chatham County Christmas Tournament and face Burke County on Saturday morning at 11:30 at Beach High.

The Lady Panthers improved to 4-2 on the season and stayed perfect at 3-0 in the region with a 37-24 win over Johnson and a forfeit win over Calvary Day.

The Lady Panthers will face Laney on Friday at Beach High and will face Burke County on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Beach High.

Liberty County’s next home game is January 3 against Bradwell.
