Liberty boys move to 6-1 in region hoops

The Liberty County boys basketball team picked up its third straight win Friday, downing Windsor Forest 71-51.

Liberty improved to 7-6 on the season and 6-1 in Region 3-AAA with the win.

The Lady Panthers fell to 6-7 on the season and 4-3 in the region after Windsor’s girls won 55-38.

Windsor Forest had three players finish in double figures, with Molly Smith leading the way with 14 points and Grace Ellington and Katelyn Caballero each scoring 13 points.

Liberty County hosts Long County this Friday, with the girls game tipping off at 7 p.m., and Liberty visits Woodville-Tompkins on Saturday, with the girls game starting at 4 p.m.
