The Liberty County boys basketball team ran its record to 5-1 in Region 3-AAA with a pair of region wins last week.

The Panthers pulled away from Southeast Bulloch for a 57-41 win and followed that with a 63-39 romp over Groves on Friday.

With the two wins, the Panthers improved to 6-6 on the season.

The Lady Panthers blasted SEB 61-10 but fell 40-26 to Groves, dropping them to 6-6 on the season and 4-2 in the region.

Liberty travels to Windsor Forest on Friday and returns home January 23 to host Long County.
