The Liberty County boys basketball team is off to a fast start in Region 3-AAA.

The Panthers downed Groves 62-49 Tuesday night to go to 2-1 on the season and 2-0 in the region.

Liberty opened its region schedule with a 54-49 win over Savannah Country Day, despite Robert Spaulding’s 24 points.

The Lady Panthers fell 51-31 in their region opener with SCD.

Liberty goes on the road Friday night to play Calvary Day in another Region 3-AAA girls/boys doubleheader and visits Wayne County on Saturday night.
