Liberty, Bradwell open hoop season

Liberty County High School played host to the Bradwell Institute Tigers this past Saturday to a sold out limited capacity crowd at Panther stadium.

In the boys’ varsity matchup the Panthers edged out the Tigers 67-63.

Junior Tiger Tristen Armas dropped in 17 points, Rishard Money had 16, Johnathan Bryant had 11 and Jaylin Frasier had 10.

Stats for the Panthers had not been posted. The win gives the Panther boys a 1-1 record after losing to Wayne County on Nov. 12. The Tigers are 0-1.

In the girls’ varsity matchup the schools had the opposite outcome with the Lady Tigers taking a 58-42 win over the Lady Panthers. That gives the Lady Tigers a 1-0 start to the season. The Lady Panthers are 0-1.

Stats had not been posted from the girls’ game.

Bradwell will host Ware County Dec. 4. The girls tip-off at 6:30 p.m. The boys’ game will follow. The Panthers will play against Glynn Academy Saturday Dec. 5. The girls tip-off at 6 p.m.  boys’ game will follow.
