Liberty County softball team names Davis MVP, top hitter at banquet

The Liberty County softball team handed out awards at a recent team banquet. The Lady Panthers, coached by Jerome Standard, finished 7-12 overall and 0-12 in Region 2-AAA. Melaine Davis, a senior, was named the team’s most valuable player and won the Lady Panthers’ slugger award. Caitlyn Rykard won the team’s academic athlete award while Hayden Roudebush earned the golden glove award.
