Liberty County played at Richmond Hill Friday night, closing out the regular season with a non-region game.The Panthers dominated the Wildcats 53-14, but the big accomplishment was how they finished the season.Liberty finished 7-3 overall and 3-1 in Region 3-AAAA. And since the Thomson Bulldogs beat Burke County 35-28, the Panthers are the second seed in the region.Offensive coordinator Ryan Glazer said that means the Panthers will host the first round of the playoffs. The Macon Telegraph reported that game will be against Upson-Lee Friday.Liberty came out on fire Friday, capitalizing on a fumble by Wildcat quarterback Brian Hughes. Panther all-round athlete Richard LeCounte recovered the ball and ran for 30 yards and a defensive touchdown.
