Panther pitcher Aric Albertson walked three, threw one strikeout and gave up four runs in Liberty's 15-0 loss of game two in Thomson this past Saturday.
The Liberty County High School baseball team was shut out twice in a doubleheader Saturday at Thomson. The Bulldogs thumped Liberty, 10-0, in the first game and 15-0 in game two.The losses dropped Liberty to 8-3 overall and 2-2 in Region 3-AAAA. Liberty’s Colby Rhea pitched 3 innings in game one, giving up six hits, five runs and throwing two strikeouts. Quindon Montgomery came in for the final 1 1/3 innings, walking two and giving up one run.

Long County girls earn a spot in state duals Elite Eight
Lady Tide wrestling duals
The Lady Tide wrestlers celebrate with Aliana Morales after her deciding pinfall victory in the final match of the night. Morales won her match at 145 pounds just 22 seconds into the first round. The win propelled the Long County girls wrestling team into the state duals finals at Lumpkin County High School.
The Long County Lady Blue Tide wrestling team has been on the cusp of breaking through the last few seasons and the 2024-25 season is shaping up to be a historic one.
