The Liberty County Lady Panthers earned a trip to the Class AAA state tournament in blowout fashion.
The Lady Panthers routed Southeast Bulloch 57-10 Tuesday, putting them in the Region 3-AAA semifinals and earning one of four region spots in the state tournament.
Jenkins, however, topped the Liberty boys 45-36 in their first-round matchup.
The Warriors outscored the Panthers 34-18 in the second half. The loss ended the Panthers’ season at 11-11.
Jenkins, 13-11 overall, advanced to meet Calvary Day on Friday night.
The Liberty girls will play Friday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Day against Jenkins, a 59-25 winner over Groves.
The Region 3-AAA girls championship will be played Saturday at 4 p.m. at Calvary Day.
