The Liberty County Lady Panthers secured a spot in the Class AAA girls state basketball tournament with a dominating win over Calvary Day on Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers, who have won eight games in a row, drubbed the Lady Cavs 80-16 Tuesday at Long County High School to secure a spot in the region semifinals Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Long County High School.
The Panthers boys also locked up a spot in the state playoffs after their 59-42 win over Jenkins on Tuesday. The win, the seventh straight, moved the Liberty County boys to 14-7 on the season.
They will meet Beach on Friday night at 8 p.m. at Long County High School in the region semifinals.
