The Liberty County Lady Panthers bounced back from a loss in a Savannah holiday tournament to hand the Burke County Lady Bears their first loss of the season.

The Lady Panthers downed Burke County 54-38 Saturday at Beach High, going to 5-4 on the season.

Burke County fell to 7-1 with the loss.

The Laney Lady Wildcats downed Liberty County 55-31 Friday.

Burke County edged the Liberty County boys 63-58, dropping the Panthers to 4-4 on the year.

Liberty returns to action January 3 at home against Bradwell Institute and resumes Region 3-AAA play January 6 at home against Southeast Bulloch.
