The Liberty County Panthers start the Region 3-AAA schedule this Friday night against Windsor Forest.
Gametime is 7:30 p.m. and the game will be played at Islands High School.
The Panthers, 0-1 on the season, are coming off a bye week. The Knights are 1-0 after rallying to beat Brantley County 20-8 last week in their season opener.
Senior quarterback Anthony Williams was 8 of 14 passing for 135 yards and a touchdown and ran for another 59 yards and a score in the Knights’ win over the Herons. Jaysen Jackson had 85 yards on five catches, including the go-ahead touchdown midway through the fourth quarter.
Windsor Forest sealed their win with Jayden Thomas’ 40-yard interception return.
The Knights held the Herons to 156 total yards, including just 13 on the ground.
