Liberty County High School’s boys’ soccer team is 1-2 overall after beating Groves March 4 (9-2) and falling to Southeast Bulloch (9-3) March 5. Against Groves the Panther boys kicked in three goals in the first half and the Rebels answered with two. But in the second half of play the Panthers shutout the Rebels while scoring six goals. The boys are scheduled to play at Savannah Christian at 7 p.m. on March 11.
The Liberty Lady Panther soccer team is 0-2 overall after falling 10-2 against Southeast Bulloch March 5. They were scheduled to play at Savannah High yesterday and play at 5 p.m. March 11 at Savannah Christian.
After a two-week hiatus the Bradwell Institute Lady Tiger soccer team defeated Effingham County 9-2 on March 5. Individual stats were not posted however, the Lady Tigers
scored five goals in the first half and four in the second. The Lady Rebels scored their two goals during the second half of the game. On Friday the Lady Tigers will travel to Brunswick to take on Glynn Academy at 5 p.m. They are 3-1-1 overall.
The Tiger boys are 4-2-1 overall. They beat Richmond Hill 2-0 on Feb. 23 but lost 2-0 at Brunswick High on Feb. 26. Last Tuesday the Tigers beat Statesboro 2-1 in overtime.
The Tiger boys host Richmond Hill at 7 p.m. March 18.
