Liberty sweeps Windsor Forest

SAVANNAH - Jordan McRae scored 17 points and Rion Brown added 13 to lead Liberty County's basketball team past Windsor Forest 70-59 on Tuesday, the opening day of the Joe Green Tip-Off Tournament at Beach High in Savannah.
Windsor led 21-8 in the first half, but the Panthers fought back to grab a 25-23 halftime advantage.
Windsor led as late as the 6-minute and 35-second mark of the fourth quarter - 46-45. Liberty, however, scored quick points on baskets by Terrell Johnson and McRae to take the lead for good.
Keith Robertson and Tracy Jester contributed 12 points apiece for the Panthers (3-0).
Randall Black led Windsor (1-1) with 21 points.
Liberty will visit Johnson at 7:30 on Wednesday night in the second round.

SAVANNAH - Candice Barham and Kourtney Alexander poured in 23 and 20 points, respectively, as Liberty County trounced Windsor Forest in a Joe Green Tip-Off Tournament girls game Tuesday.
Bionca Washington scored 12 points for the Knights.
