All-Star teams head to district play

The recreation football district tournaments are just around the corner. This year, the Long County All-Star teams will face some tough competition when they travel to the South Bryan Recreation Department for the 2011 Georgia Recreation Park Association District 2 Class C football tournament.
The 8-and-under team will play at 6 p.m. Nov. 29, taking on the winner of the Bacon County/Brantley County game. The 10-and-under team will play at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28, taking on tough Charlton County. The 12-and-under team will play its first game at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29. They too will face the Charlton County squad.
