Bradwell Institute swept the Richmond Hill Wildcats on Friday night on its home court.
The Tiger boys claimed a 48-43 win and improved to 12-11 overall and 8-4 in Region 3B-AAAAA. Earlier, the Lady Tigers won 39-25, jumping 11-1 in the region and 12-11 overall.
In the girls’ contest, Richmond Hill held a slight advantage in the first quarter, but the Lady Tigers turned things around off a few takeaways and had a 24-14 lead at halftime.
The Lady Tigers held a six-to-eight point cushion the remainder of the game.
Lady Tiger Shaquoia Crockett had another double-digit scoring night with 20 points.
Akeyla Richardson added 10 points.
The victory was a pleasant send-off for Lady Tiger senior players Leitia Leiataua and Kelissa Hargrove as the BI girls finish the rest of the regular season on the road.
The Lady Tigers travel Tuesday to Effingham County for a 6 p.m. game.
The first time the teams played this season, BI eked out a 37-35 win on Jan. 15.
None of the Tiger boys are seniors, meaning the class of talented players is expected to return next season.
The Tigers do have a challenge Tuesday at Effingham County. Three weeks ago, Effingham County used its height advantage to scoop up second and third shots off the board in a 65-36 win over the Tigers.
The boys’ game will tip off immediately after the girls’ game.
