Blue Tide fall to Buccaneers in Darien

Long County lost to McIntosh County Academy, 45-24, Friday in Darien.
The loss put the Blue Tide’s record at 2-7 overall and 1-7 in Region 2-AA, according to ga.prepcountry.com.
MCA raised its records to 5-4 and 5-3.
Long County will wrap up its season next Friday by facing Metter (6-3, 5-3) in Ludowici.

Before the 2021 season, the Long County Blue Tide football team had never beaten Tattnall County. They now hold two consecutive victories over the Warriors as they held on to beat them 22-9 Friday.
