Coach Tom named 2012 GISA Coach of the Year

First Presbyterian Christian Academy girls’ soccer coach Tom Sukaratana received the Georgia Independent School Association Class AA girls’ soccer coach of the year award Wednesday during the GISA Annual Banquet at the King and Prince Hotel on St. Simons Island.  
This past season, Sukaratana guided FPCA to the state title game in the program’s fourth year.
Known fondly by players as “Coach Tom,” Sukaratana has long been a successful youth soccer coach and founded the Hinesville Gators soccer program in the early 1980s. He was inducted into the Liberty County Athletic Hall of fame in 2007.
