Cowboys up at N.C. Ranch rodeo

South East Circuit Rodeo recently held its year-end championship for the 2010 season. This year’s event drew cowboys and cowgirls from all over the area and was held at the N.C. Ranch in Long County.

Taking home the top spot as the All-Around Cowboy was Gary Arnold, who also won the chute dogging and calf roping competition.

The runners-up in the chute dogging and calf roping contests were Lance Grant and Nino Ciccone. The winner of the bull riding competition was Matt Waters, while Justin Pendry finished in the second spot. In the team roping event, first place went to Billy Evans for the header position and Gene McCarn as the heeler, while the runner-up header and heeler were Jamie Pittman and Ciccone, respectively.

In the open barrels event, Bayne Summers won first place with second place going to Destiny Pendry.

In the junior barrels competition, Courtney Arnold took the top spot, while Alex Kennedy finished as the runner-up.
