First Presbyterian Christian Academy senior track standout Asyria Daniels finished second in both the long and triple jump at the Georgia Independent School Association Region 2-AA state track meet last weekend in Albany.
Daniels leaped 16 feet, 4 ¾ inches in the long jump and leapt 33-6 in the triple jump, which were personal bests for her.
Daniels said competing in her final high-school track meet was bittersweet.
“I’m looking forward to competing at the next level in college,” she said. “That next step is my biggest dream: Attending my dream college and performing on a level I’ve only dreamed of.”
