Five Lady Tide headed to state track-and-field meet

The Long County High School girls track team will be represented at the Class 2-AA state track-and-field meet, which runs Thursday through Saturday at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany.
Senior Kicha May will make her third trip to the state meet to compete in the discus throw. Sophomore Tyronica Johnson will compete in the long jump and the 4-by-400 meter relay race. Freshman Trinity Hall also will run in the 4x400 and the 800 meter race. At the region meet, Hall ran a personal best in the 800, posting a time of 2 minutes, 37 seconds. Brittany Smiley and Kareemah Graham will run the other two legs of the 4x400.
