Marcus Scott V, Dazjon Tinae, Simon Steele and Desmond Brown represented the Scott’s All-Stars at the AAU All-American Camp on July 16-17 in Charlotte, N.C.
Each player was grouped by division, grade level, playing experience and skill level.
The camp sessions included academic performance, life skills, combine testing and measurements, fundamental basketball skill training, conditioning regiments, organized games and skill contests, according to All-Stars founder Marcus Scott.
“We had kids representing fourth, fifth and 11th grade, and they performed well,” Scott said.

The kids competed in the 40-yard dash and free throw contest as well.
“Dazjon Tinae was the winner for the 11th grade hot shot shootout,” Scott said. “Marcus Scott V made two game-winning baskets and led his fifth grade team to the championship game.  Simon Steele and Desmond Brown both competed well and finish in the top tiers in most categories for the fourth grade division.”
The All-Stars will be hosting their awards ceremony tonight at 6 p.m. at Midway Middle School with keynote speaker Lady Tiger basketball coach Faye Baker.  Tickets are $5. For more information call 912-655-4371 or 912-321-9945.
