Team Hinesville weightlifters James Fox, 16, and Jaleel Menifee, 18, won the bronze and silver respectively, at the 2011 AAU Junior Olympics held Aug. July 30-31 in New Orleans.
Both competed with Team Savannah, which swept the overall boys’ division.
Menifee cleared 94 kilograms in the snatch and hit 102 kilos in the clean and jerk in the 77 kilogram weight class.
Fox hit 80 kilograms in the snatch and 89 kilos in the clean and jerk in the 85 kilogram weight class.
Both are coached by former Team USA lifter Jenna Bussard at the Shuman Center in Liberty County.
