Taking a cue from the varsity squad, the junior varsity Lady Tigers beat the junior Lady Panthers 10-2 in five innings Saturday afternoon.
Coached by Misty Eastlake, the JV girls were led by eighth grader Jaleesa DeJesus on the mound, earning eight strike outs, allowing three hits and walking only two batters.
Eastlake said Sarah Wells and Marissa Polston both hit doubles and Shaquira Smith added a single to help the team offensively.
The JV Tigers will host Long County on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
