Liberty County High School’s softball team celebrated its seniors and honored several players at the program’s annual softball banquet held Thursday night at the LaQuinta Inn.
Senior pitcher Lori Harden, who was on the mount much of the season and earned the team’s MVP award.
Junior Victoria Anthony was awarded the Sluggers award for compiling a .400 batting average. Anthony also received the Golden Glove Award.
Her older sister, senior Gabriela Anthony, was awarded the Hustle Award.
Sophomore Jakaria Fleming was awarded the Most Improved Player finishing the season with the second highest batting average a .375.
Freshman Riley Davis played at the varsity level and was awarded the Coaches Award.
The Dedication Award was given to Kristinia Mears.
The junior varsity players were also honored, with Rachel Smith earning the MVP Award.
The Golden Glove was given to Tia Anderson. Hailey Spencer received the Slugger Award and the Hustle Award was given to Jaelyn James.
The JV squad’s Most Improved player was Amber Hines.
