The Liberty County Thunder baseball team outscored its competition, 34-4, last week to take first place in a recent tournament in Statesboro.
Thunder pitcher James Moon tossed a no-hitter in the championship game, giving up one unearned run. Third basemen Hunter Bond won the directors’ MVP award with a batting average of .545, two home runs, two doubles and three stolen bases. All-tournament awards went to Zach Harris and James Phillips.
