Marcus Scott V of Scott’s All-Stars attended a Georgia Southern basketball camp June 20-24 in Statesboro.
According to All-Stars founder Marcus Scott IV, the camp focused on conditioning, fundamentals, shooting and passing drills, ball handling and dribbling instruction, among other skills.
The camp was led by GSU head coach Charlton Young and his coaching staff.
Scott said several coaches expressed how impressed they were with Marcus Scott’s basketball abilities.
“Although he is 11, he played against 13- and 14-year-olds. According to coaches, he still drew a double team most of the tournament,” Scott said.
“His team came in second place and he was one of five players selected to the All-Star team to play against the coaching staff, out of almost 70 campers.
“He also won the Hot Shot competition and was runner up in the free-throw competition.”
