Members of the Long County High School weightlifting team competed in the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association AA/AAA state meet March 1 in Louisville.  
The Blue Tide finished the day as the fourth-best AA team in the state. Nick Stock took the top spot in the 206-215-pound weight class, Jaquarius Harrison was runner-up in the 161-170 class, and Dequan Glover was runner-up in the 140-and-below class. D’Andre Watkins claimed third place in the 151-160 class. Ioannis Watkins also competed in the 140-and-below class. Coaches Mitch Nobles and Eric McNair took the team to the meet.
