With the high school football season just around the corner, new Long County High School football coach Ronald Flott is stressing to his team the importance of giving 100 percent.
The team has been going through summer workouts in Ludowici, and during practice, the Blue Tide head coach has been telling players about the importance of being committed.
On Tuesday, Flott told Blue Tide players to invest in the program the way others have.
“I’m totally committed to you; I’m all Blue Tide,” Flott said. “The community is supporting you and they’re committed, and I want you to be totally committed, totally sold out on this program.”
Flott was hired in February to take over a struggling program that went 1-19 in the past two seasons and was outscored, 771-188, under coach Kyle Wilson.
Before coming to Long County, Flott compiled a 49-43 record from 1997-2005 at Southeast Bulloch High School in Brooklet.
Since coming on board as the new leader of the Blue Tide, Flott has stressed community support and establishing a culture of winning.
