The 16U Coastal Crew Rebels posted a 4-2 record this week at the AAU basketball Super Showcase in Orlando.
On Wednesday morning, the Rebels were eliminated by losing to Team Heat from North Carolina, 65-61.
The Rebels lost Tuesday morning to BABC of Massachusetts, 73-27, to fall into the third round of the losers’ bracket.
Coach Ernie Walthour said he was extremely pleased with his players, who went 3-0 in pool play. The Rebels took down the Central Penn Ballers, 60-51, in game one and topped Team Moxie, 72-67, in game two. Game three went down to the wire, but the Rebels claimed a 69-68 win against the Greensboro Aggies to advance into bracket play.
In their first bracket game, the Rebels beat the Tampa Bay Warriors, 73-66.
